On Thursday, February 28, 2019, Mrs. Fatima Sindy-Director of International Relation Office at the University of Zakho held a meeting with Mr. Reving Mizory the Higher Education Adviser of United States Consulate in Erbil Office.

During the fruitful meeting, the following points were discussed:
1. Opening an American Desk at UOZ in cooperation with American Corner of Dohuk University under the Supervision of Mr. Reving, in which International Relations Office held a meeting on March 7, 2019, to further expand on the areas of cooperation. The purpose of placing a desk which will be named “Education USA Desk” is to involve staff and students in recent events and hopefully assist them to obtain scholarships for higher education.
2-In the meeting Ms. Fatima Sindy has discussed the possibility of setting a meeting with the public affair team at the US consulate to discuss funding programs at UOZ also, further cooperation.
